It was never our intent to be in the masonry business, but customer need and lack of a willing mason threw us in the business in 2008.  The situation was this:  We were in the middle of a major exterior restoration of a “cottage” and we were asked whether we would do the masonry repair and restoration.  I replied that we had no experience but I would research it and do our best.  This job had to be done and done correctly as it had no care in fifty years.  The stone work was leaking water into the building interior causing rot and other damage.  A high strength waterproof mortar was required and had to bond easily to vertical surfaces when it was applied.

With some investigation using the computer and some field testing, our “secret formula” was born and, again with some field testing, our method of old mortar removal and cleaning was perfected.  This work in part, had to be done at heights to sixty feet above the ground – one of the major reasons most masons would not touch the job.  Our highlifts were the perfect answer.

The job was a complete success!  The old mortar was removed and the new mortar was strong and waterproof!  The work was done quickly and properly.

Please note:  We only do mortar and stone restoration and repair, we do not do brick work or new construction.  We DO EXCELL in doing this work at heights to sixty feet above the ground.
